Condition:  It is in very good condition with the exception of a light mark to the skirt in the middle front (see last two close-up photos)

The fabric is a devoré or burn-out velvet in a wavy vertical stripe

This 1970s Paganne dress features a wonderful novelty print in black and white with a pattern influenced by Aztec design motifs include calendar wheels and animals including snakes, turtles, llama heads and rabbits.
